Cool in a confined space

The cool box is the “entry” into the transport refrigeration for a veterinarian vehicle. However, for transporting medicines the compliance to a temperature range between 6 and 9 degrees Celsius is required.

The most important task is to ensure that the temperature does not fall below the harmful frost line, which would disable the medicines. The original control of the manufacturer cannot meet this requirement exactly for technological reasons (even if oftentimes a digital temperature display simulates a professional temperature control). 

For this reason we are concerned with this issue for many years and offer cool boxes with Digital Precision Control according the “Zimmermann System” of the climate controlled dispensary. The practice vehicle cool boxes shown here operate on a 12V basis. Some models are also available with 230V connection. Feel free to contact us.

Compressor refrigeration: The compressor refrigeration works like the fridge at home. CFC-free refrigerant is compressed via a long-lasting compressor and then evaporates again in the refrigeration area. With 35 Watt power consumption it is just about half that of thermo-electrical refrigeration. Furthermore, the required temperature is achieved after a few minutes because of the system’s tremendous efficiency, and then the compressor switches off. Runtime percentage is around 20%, which means that this type of refrigeration will not only consume half the energy, but also it will only be switched on one fifths of the time. Hence, the short-lived thermoelectric cooling requires a multiple amount of energy!
As a rule, compressor refrigeration achieves a lifespan of 10 years or more.

Thermoelectric refrigeration: The thermoelectric refrigeration (also called alibi-refrigeration) is equipped with a Peltier cooling element. The physical cooling capacity is about 25 degrees below ambient temperature. The cool box runs constantly, and with at least 50 watt, it consumes considerably more power than the more economical compressor refrigeration.

Digital Precision Control: Digital Precision Control is the control technology from the Zimmermann climate controlled dispensary. An additionally in the cold store installed sensor works together with an installed fan. The temperature generated like that can be defined as homogenous, thus as absolutely and reliably exact. Cold spots are avoided this way.
